Project Manager – Substation & Civil Infrastructure

Location: Initially NW England / North Wales (national flexibility required)

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven Project Manager to join our client’s Energy & Water business.

You will become part of a team of highly motivated and experienced professionals delivering key infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead multidisciplinary construction schemes while contributing to the successful delivery of substation and civil infrastructure programmes.

We welcome applications from experienced Project Managers as well as Project Engineers ready to step up into a Project Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of substation construction works within a designated project

  • Lead supervisory staff and oversee direct labour and subcontractor teams

  • Deliver multidisciplinary construction projects from concept through to completion

  • Ensure projects meet programme, quality and commercial objectives while achieving high levels of client satisfaction

  • Champion and deliver Health, Safety and Environmental standards in line with company policies

  • Coordinate project activities, resources and stakeholders to achieve successful delivery

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects

  • Experience as a Project Manager or readiness to step up from a Project Engineer role

  • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle and delivery methodologies

  • Ability to manage subcontractors, site teams and multiple workstreams

  • Experience supporting or working alongside pre-construction teams (desirable)

  • Energy sector experience beneficial but not essential

Location & Flexibility

This role will initially be based in North West England or North Wales, with national mobility required to support future project opportunities.
